Dealing with Gym anxiety
“I really want to get in shape before I go to the gym.”
If this is somthing that you have said or thought then you might have a little gym anxiety.
It’s unfortunate, but plenty of people feel intimidated at the thought of joining a gym.
Walking into an open room with lots of mysterious machines is tough and It’s not hard to see why so many people think they’re too out of shape to join a gym.
Everybodys gym would like to help squash this way of thinking. Here are a few things you can do to make sure your visit is beneficial
1. Book in for a free training programme – this will give you guidance and a show of the machines by the experienced staff.
2. Book a buddy training session – a one on one session to help motivate you.
3. Workout with a friend – sometimes coming in with friend can help keep you both on track
4. Choose less busy hours – try to schedule your workouts for early morning or late at night.
